Merchant Breakfast: June 23rd, 2009 |

On Tuesday June 23rd from 8:30am to 10 am, the BID hosted its quarterly merchant breakfast at La Huasteca Mexican Restaurant (1217 Church Avenue b/w Westminster and Argyle). More than 30 members of the Church Avenue business community were in attendance for presentations by Deputy Inspector Ralph Monteforte, the Commanding Officer of the 70th Precinct, and Robert Place from CAMBA's Small Business Services.

Graffiti Clean Up Day, May 30th, 2009 |

On Saturday May 30th, the Church Avenue BID teamed up with Flatbush Development Corporation (FDC) for a neighborhood graffiti clean-up day. Community volunteers, representatives from 70th Precinct, members of the 70th Precinct’s Explorer program, members of the BID’s and FDC’s staff worked together to paint over graffiti throughout the Flatbush neighborhood.

The Church Avenue BID coordinated a Holiday Giving Campaign to support the Flatbush Dutch Reform Church's Holiday Lunch and Councilmember Mathieu Eugene's Toy Drive that benefitted local needy families.
