A Rewarding Neighborhood Beautification Day on Sat. May 14, 2016
Thank you to all the volunteers who joined us on Sat. May 14 for a rewarding and busy neighborhood beautification day! Several teams of volunteers, ages 3 and up, hit the streets to cover up graffiti, sift compost at Q Gardens, remove trash from tree pits, and clean the grounds of the historic Flatbush Reformed Church. Volunteers represented the local community, nonprofit CAMBA, Church Ave. property owners and business owners, 70th Precinct Explorers, and even a woman who passed our table while shopping and ended up coming back to sift compost for a few hours....read more
